From Our Community,
For Our Community
"Four years ago, you elected me to be your first ever City Councilmember raised here in Newcastle, and the then-youngest City Councilmember in King County. It's been an honor.
I haven't taken my title for granted-- I've advocated for our city at every level to secure new resources for public safety, local infrastructure, economic development, behavioral health and our environment. I've made our government more transparent by doubling the amount of annual town halls and creating new committees for community feedback. I've celebrated the events and people that make Newcastle unique, fought to protect targeted residents from hateful attacks, and much more in four short years.
I love the work I do as your Councilmember, and I'm not done yet! With your vote this November I'll continue working hard to secure funding for our public services to keep financial burden off our residents, and on the policies and ideas I've championed that make Newcastle a great place to live!" - Paul Charbonneau

- The Urbanist Magazine
"Charbonneau has consistently been a progressive leader during his time on council. He is an outspoken advocate for affordable housing and mental health awareness... Thanks in part to his outspoken leadership and community organizing, the council raised the pride flag.
Charbonneau represents a new generation of progressive leadership and will continue to make positive change on the council. We strongly recommend re-electing him to Position 6"
